Five checks before comparing charts

Match the instrument code, data provider, interval, time zone and candle completion status before comparing two charts.

Check the instrument

Confirm the exchange, quote currency and whether the product is spot, futures or a CFD. A similar display name does not guarantee identical data.

Check the time settings

Align the interval and time zone, then locate the same candle. A candle still forming can change, so completed candles are often easier to compare.

Record what you compared

Note the symbol, provider, interval and timestamp. If a difference remains, check delay notices and provider-specific conditions before reporting an error.
